ADAPTATION

It's been a little less than a week now, and I must say, we are adapting to the Paris culture quite nicely. I am definitely loving it here so far, and our friends, "Leila, Tess, and Christian" are the greatest! We wouldn't have been able to pack up and go if it weren't for them. So far, we have taken the metro, and it's easy to get around town. We stopped at "The Opera National de Paris", and was bedazzled. It was right there and then that I realized that I want to live here indefinitely.. Let's just see where it takes us. After The Opera, we went to the Galleria there, and it is nothing like the Glendale Galleria, it's way more classier.... I dig it! After the mall, we had a snack at one of the many cafe shops, and I was speaking some French.... I'm actually getting a little better at it. We then took the metro back to our place in Commerce and did a little shopping, then ended the night with dinner and a movie. Tomorrow, Eiffel Tower and grocery shopping.....

Second Night in the City of Lights

So, our dear friend Leila invited us to have coffee with her friend Carolyn. As we left the apartment, I was observing our surroundings so I know where to go when we get lost in the City of Lights. The cars here in Paris are very small. I took a photo of a yellow car that looked like a Matchbox car. It's that small. As we took the train, and I must say, it is very clean, cleaner than the New York subway station. We stopped by to pick up Leila's daugther Tess, then as we arrived at the door, I noticed the Eiffel Tower, all I can say is, "Breathtaking". It was at that very moment that struck me..... I am in Paris! After we picked up Tess, we went to the coffee shop to meet up with Carolyn... What a sweet woman. She treated us all, and she mentioned she would have a gathering in January and we would sing karaoke. I can't wait for that day.

As I type this blog at 3:49am Paris time, my wife decided to add Carolyn to her FB, she saw that she was related to one of her cousins. We were both laughing, as if it's true, what a small world it would be because right before we left for Paris, we were at my sister-in-laws birthday party and Nicole's cousin Oliver and I were chatting about he should visit us in Paris, and he mentioned he had a relative in Paris, and it may be that Oliver's relative is Carolyn. If it's true that she is, it would be a trip if indeed Carolyn is related to Oliver and his wife. Well, it's 4am and I can't sleep again, but hey, we're in Paris. Until tomorrow, good night from Paris, or better yet, good morning. Ciao!

Destination Paris!

We just arrived in Paris last night where our friend Christian picked us up. As we were driving towards the apartment, Christian was able to provide us a quick glimpse of the city. All I can say is "WOW". What people say about Paris is true, it is truly breathtaking, and I simply cannot wait to take snapshots and share them with you.

I have to admit, it is really cold here, but it's definitely bearable, as I enjoy wearing layers of clothes. Well, this blog has officially launched, and I am excited to share my photographic journey and experiences with you all. So, stay tuned for some of my upcoming snapshots of Paris, France....
